The train station is marked by the red label: ![]() How to get to New Brunswick: From Newark Liberty International Airport: If you are flying in, EWR is the most convenient airport to use. The easiest way to get to New Brunswick is to take the Airport Monorail to NJ Transit train station. Buy a ticket to New Brunswick and take a train running on Northeast Corridor going to Trenton. If you being picked up or use rental car, follow the sings for NJ Turnpike South (toll) or Route 1 South. The directions from these roads are below. By Suburban Transit Bus: Suburban Transit buses run from the Port Authority in New York City. The schedules are here. By NJ Transit Train: New Brunswick is on Northeast Corridor, so it's easily accesible by local NJ Transit trains. If you are travelling from New York City, Newark or Trenton, use the train. If you are coming from Philadelphia, you must take Septa to Trenton and change to NJ Transit train. The schedules are here. By NJ Transit Bus: Lookup your local bus here. NJ Turnpike: Take the Turnpike to Exit 9 (New Brunswick/Rutgers). Follow the signs for Route 18 North/New Brunswick. Garden State Parkway: From the Parkway take Exit 129 (NJ Turnpike South). Follow NJ Turnpike Directions above. Route 1: Take Route 1 to Route 18 North. When you are driving, we recommend you follow the directions for Gate A. To Gate A:(google map location) Travelling on Route 18 North, take the exit for Route 27 towards Princeton, follow the off ramp and continue through the first lights going straight towards the city. You are now on Route 27 / Albany Street. Make a left onto Neilson Street (2nd light) and first right onto Church Street. Keep going straight two blocks and you will see parking decks where you can park for free on weekend. Here is a map of all parking decks in the downtown New Brunswick. http://www.newbrunswick.com/decor/nbmap.jpg Get back on Albany Street, walk back towards Route 18 and follow the following directions: If you came bus train or bus, cross Albany Street, turn left and walk along Albany Street towards Route 18. Continue walking underneath Route 18 overpass, cross the off ramp and instead of walking across the bridge, follow the walkway towards the river. There is a small tunnel under Albany Street - that's Gate A on the map. To Gate B: (google map location) Gate B is a staircase from Deiner Park that is located behind the River Dorms on George Street on Rutgers University (College Avenue Campus). This gate is convenient access from Easton Avenue and College Avenue. To Gate C: (google map location) Gate C is underneath the John A Lynch SR Memorial Bridge (Route 18). This is conveniet access from the Buccleuch Park. When you are in the park, walk towards College Avenue or George Street. Do not follow the bikepath over the bridge but continue walking around under the bridge, cross the off ramp and you are at the Raritan River Art Walk. |
